In addition to apartments, the facility includes a communal lounge, kitchen, offices, activity room, assisted bathroom and reception.
ORBS designed and installed the mechanical and electrical (M&E) elements of the building including the 24 hour warden call alarm system, emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm, data systems, CCTV and door entry system, communal TV aerial system, and automatic opening vent (AOV) system.
Specialist sub-contractors were used for the mechanical elements of the job.

Newton Leys Primary School
An electrical and mechanical package which in addition to our regular services of design and installation of fire detection, security systems, lighting, data etc, ORBS were able to offer bespoke solutions:
- A ground source heat pump for the whole of the sites heating requirements which offers considerable financial and environmental benefits.
- Through negotiations with our LED partner, ORBS were able to offer a cost-neutral LED lighting upgrade for the whole school.

Talbot Point Student Accommodation
Situated in the busy heart of Nottingham, this compact design packed a lot in. Challenges included the physically tight space alongside a completion date of the start of term when students were already booked in. ORBS resourced the job with time-served experienced electricians who were able to work together to deliver the specification required in the timeframe

St Edburgs CE Primary School
A new-build school designed to be at the heart of the community with state of the art facilities including a media centre, gathering space, high-spec kitchen, sports facilities and of course well-appointed teaching spaces.
ORBS was responsible for the complete design, installation and commissioning of the electrical package which included low carbon technologies such as LED lighting and solar PV. The project finished four weeks ahead of schedule whilst at the same time achieving an award for outstanding health and safety performance.
